Before You Apply

Our foraging experience is a hands-on outdoor course designed for adults who are comfortable exploring natural environments and learning about wild plants and fungi. Before submitting an application, please make sure you have read the following information and are confident that the experience is suitable for you.

Age requirement

This course is for adults aged 14 and over. We cannot accept applications for children or young people under 14.

Walking and terrain

The course involves walking and standing for extended periods in natural outdoor environments. Terrain may be uneven, muddy, slippery, steep or overgrown, and some sections may not have established paths. You should be comfortable navigating this type of terrain and managing the physical demands of the day.

Weather and clothing

The course takes place outdoors and will generally proceed in a range of weather conditions. You must be prepared for rain, mud, cold temperatures and wet vegetation. Sturdy footwear with good grip, waterproofs and appropriate outdoor clothing are essential.

Included meal and dietary requirements

A meal is included, potentially featuring seasonal foraged ingredients. The menu will depend on availability, and we cannot guarantee particular ingredients. Please declare all allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements in your application. We will assess these before confirming whether we can accommodate them.

Location and facilities

Part of the experience takes place in a natural outdoor setting where facilities may be limited. Please consider that access to toilets and shelter will not be available during the foraging part of the day which will last 1-2 hours depending on weather. Any specific meeting instructions and location details will be provided as appropriate.

Applications and payment

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place or constitute a confirmed booking. We will review your application and contact you regarding acceptance. If accepted, you will receive the terms and conditions and a payment link. Your place is confirmed only in accordance with the confirmation and payment process provided to you.
